För två år sedan fick vi en fritös i julklapp. Den har tryggt stått ouppackad i en garderob sedan dess. Inte för att vi är otacksamma och inte uppskattade gåvan, men att köra igång en fritös när man inte har en fungerande spisfläkt, det är ingen hitt.
Men så igår skulle vi grilla och då kom jag att tänka på den oanvända julklappen. Nu har vi ju en hel trädgård att vara i, så oset skulle inte bli så störande.
Själv har jag aldrig använt en fritös förut, i ärlighetens namn är jag inte överförtjust i friterat men någon gång ibland kan det vara gott. Stripsen gick galant att fritera och de blev riktigt goda!
Glada i hågen gav vi oss in på att fritera mozzarellasticks. Totalt misslyckade! Jag hade tidigare googlat runt lite och kollat på diverse recept. Enligt de flesta så skulle de räcka med att panera mozzarellan i ägg, mjöl, ströbröd och lite kryddor.
Men jag vet inte om fritösen var för varm eller om det behövs mera runt om osten, för den höll inte alls ihop. Smaken var det inget fel på men de blev inte så tjusiga precis…
Så nu frågar jag er, alla kunniga läsare om ni har något bra recept eller tips på hur vi skall lyckas bättre nästa gång?

Tyvärr har jag aldrig gjort mozzarella sticks annat än i stekpannan. Men tunt skivade rotfrukter har jag däremot gjort i fritösen och det blir jätte gott!

Kan vara att det var för hög värme, när man friterar utan att förfritera får man börja lågt… Och med paneringen, vet inte om du tog det i den ordningen du skrev men det är mjöl först, sen ägg och sist skorpmjöl annars funkar det inte 🙂

När jag bodde hemma så gjorde vi det jätteofta, men nu när jag bor i lägenhet vågar jag inte riktigt ge mig på det 😉

Jag brukar köra med maizenamjöl istället för vanligt mjöl för det binder bättre. Ha en bra dag!
Vi har någon liknande historia stående i ett skåp hemma. det var lille sambon som absolut skulle ha en… Användes en gång , resultatet blev några riktigt sorgliga och fettdrypandes potatisbitar
Jag skulle nog inte våga mig på att fritera nått, om jag så hade en fritös. Alldeles för hopplös i köket.:P

Jag tänkte ge mig på att göra smörgåstårta nästa vecka men bara en liten. Tror du att det bara är att halvera ditt recept?
Testa göra tempura! Ta diverse grönsaker (aubergine, zucchini, blomkål, broccoli, svamp….) och skär i mindre bitar/skivor. Köp frityrsmet (pulver som man blandar med iskallt vatten) och doppa i smeten. Som någon skrev tidigare; man ska inte ha för hög värme.
Doppa i "tempura-sås". Det finns massor av varianter men jag tror att min kille använder det här: sesamolja, soya, småstrimlad purjolök, vatten, socker och vitvinsvinäger.
