Till gårdagens pommes stripes gjorde jag kycklingspett, istället för att använda torra bröstfiléer köpte jag hem en förpackning med lårfiléer. De brukar vara lite mörare och sen är kilopriset billigare än på bröstfiléerna och det är ju aldrig fel! Vi har grillat otroligt mycket denna sommar och jag har nästan, nästan tröttnat på att lägga en köttbit på grillen och istället längtar jag efter mör kyckling och god fisk.
Vill man inte göra spett är det gott att ta olika kycklingdelar och marinera med samma marinad innan de läggs på grillen!
Jag marinerade kycklingbitarna med chili, lime och honung, en mycket lyckad kombination.
700 g (en påse) kycklinglårfiléer
1 1/2 dl olja
1 lime
torkad chili
salt & peppar
2 tsk flytande honung
10 träspett
Skär kycklingen i lagom stora bitar. Tvätta limen noga, riv skalet och pressa ur saften, blanda detta med oljan. Krossa chilin och ha i den tillsammans med salt och peppar, rör om ordentligt. Blanda i en tesked av honungen, lägg i kycklingbitarna och låt marinera i ca en timme.
Lägg samtidigt träspetten i blöt, så de inte tar eld när du lägger dem på grillen.
Trä upp kycklingen på spetten och ringla den sista teskeden honung över kycklingen. Låt kycklingen snabbt få färg över glöden och lägg dem sedan åt sidan på grillen, på med locket och låt de grillas på indirekt värme i ca 15-20 minuter.
Servera med pommes stripes och en kall sås på turkisk yoghurt, en finhackad vitlök, peppar och örtsalt.

Kycklingspett av just kycklinglårfilé är så himla gott! Det går ju bara inte att misslyckas, det är mkt saftigare än bröstfilé.
