Jag som nästan, nästan tyckte det luktade vår ute. Men så kom snön. Inga mängder men tillräckligt för att kasta mig tillbaka rätt in i verkligheten, det är ju faktiskt bara januari. Våren är inte här än på länge.
Jag vill ju kunna gå ut i trädgården och bara knipsa av lite färsk persilja eller oregano och toppa maten med. Men tills dess får man göra vad man kan med det man har.
Hur många gånger har man inte köpt dessa små krukor med färska örter, varje gång blir man så där hutlöst besviken då dom vissnat ner helt efter bara ett dygn eller två. Men man kan faktiskt få dom att överleva länge, länge. Har man tur lever dom ända tills i vår då du kan plantera ut dom i kryddträdgården eller i kruka.
Det finns ett par saker dessa krukor med örter vill ha, det allra viktigaste är vatten. Jag brukar alltid ställa örterna i en skål med vatten när jag köpt hem dom. Så de får stå och dra åt sig ordentligt, det brukar dom behöva. Sen kan man antingen vara riktigt duktig och plantera om dom i en större kruka. Eller så kan man ha upp lecakulor i botten på en kruka, ta bort den lilla plastkrukan och ställa ner örten. Det hjälper till att hålla jorden fuktig. För planterar man inte om dom måste man komma ihåg att vattna i princip varenda dag. Men det är det värt för att få ha lite färska örter inne året om.
Den här gången provar jag att sätta ner örterna i nätta små glasskålar, jag tänkte att alltid se till att det finns lite, lite vatten i skålen. Kanske funkar det, kanske inte.
Kom också ihåg att skydda dina örter mot kyla när du tar hem dom från affären!

Bra tips, jag köper ofta färska kryddor men det gäller att vara snabb med att använda dem. Det är lättare på sommaren när man kan ha hela trädgårdslandet fullt 🙂 jag brukar också odla mycket groddar själv, känns onödigt att köpa färdiggroddade. De man groddar själv håller också längre 🙂
