Glad alla hjärtans dag, kära läsare!
Jag blir varm ända in i själen av de fina mail och kommentarer jag får om att jag börjat blogga igen. Det känns skönt att ni inte glömt bort mig helt, jag har då varken glömt er eller bloggen.
Idag är det då alla hjärtans dag. Dagen till ära har jag bakat hjärtformade maränger. Perfekt att göra en dundertjusig och god marängsviss med. Byt ut de klassiska bananerna mot annan frukt, t ex färska hallon och jordgubbar. Koka egen kola eller chokladsås, vispa mängder med fluffig vit grädde och välj en vaniljglass med bra kvalité att ha till. Sen är det bara att hugga in!
Självklart kan man så här till 14 februari färga marängerna härligt rosa eller röda, men alla mina färger var på vift just när dessa bakades, så lyckades bara få till en knappt märkbar skiftning i dessa.
En hel plåt med hjärtformade maränger:
90 g äggvita (ca 3 st)
170 g socker (2 dl)
ev röd färg
Låt äggvitorna bli rumstempererade (om du inte är som jag, här står dom framme dygnet runt då är det bara att sätta igång!).
Blanda äggvita och socker i en rostfri skål som är väl rengjord och riktigt torr. Sätt skålen över vattenbad och vispa med ballongvisp tills allt socker har smält och marängen börjar bli glansig och fin.
Tag skålen från vattenbadet och vispa marängen tills den blir styv och har svalnat helt. Använd elvisp eller annan maskin, det kan ta ett tag. Blanda i eventuell färg.
Fyll en sprittspåse, jag använde ingen tyll till dessa utan klippte bara av sprittspåsen i lagom storlek.
Spritsa ut till hjärtan på en plåt klädd med bakplåtspapper. Ställ in långt ner i ugnen, grädda på cirka 100 °C i cirka 40 minuter. Låt svalna helt innan du försiktigt lossar marängerna.
Jag dekorerade mina maränger med lite pärlor och torkade rosblad innan de åkte in i ugnen.
