Ja, sirapslimpa hör till det som jag måste ha till jul. Den bakades alltid av mammas moster Barbro till jul, därav namnet. Men jag förstår inte riktigt hur hon lyckades då hon var förlamad i ena armen och denna deg är lite av den segare typen! Jag hade fullt upp med att få till det med två friska armar! Mina limpor hade kunnat fått stå inne några minuter till, de fick inte riktigt den där mörkbruna färgen, men smaken var det inte fel på!

Vad måste du ha på julbordet? Barbros sirapslimpa 6 st:
50 g jäst
8 dl vatten
3 ägg
1 paket farinsocker ( jag hade i lite mer för att få till den rätta smaken, kanske var paketen större förr?)
lite salt
1 påse rågsikt
smör till pensling
Värm vattnet till 37 grader. Bryt jästen i småbitar och blanda med det varma vattnet, tillsätt äggen, salt och farinsocker. Rör tills detta löst upp sig.
Ha sedan i mjölet lite i taget och arbeta degen tills den släpper från kanterna. Låt jäsa under bakduk i ca 40 minuter. Baka ut till 6 stycken limpor och låt dem jäsa ytterliggare några minuter.
Grädda i 175 graders värme i ca 20 minuter.
Pensla sedan de klara limporna med smält smör.

Sirapslimpor är ju bara så gott… – Uffe och jag prataade idag om att skinka är ett måste till jul – hellst på sirapslimpa och en god senap förståss.
Det där med farinsockrtét har Babbe och jag dryftat ett flertal gånger – längre tillbaks fanns det mörkt och ljust farin, det var fuktigt och packat i plastburkar. Sen kom pappkartongerna med det torra farinet och vips stämmde inte receptet längre. Men jag tror att jag räknade på mängden och sen kom fram till att det dessutom skulle vara lite mer… Vi får jämföra våra recept nån gång…
